"You and me for life and thereafter..." - this is what's engraved in our wedding rings. Our vow to each other, you could say.
And we have said our "I Do's"...
On that fateful day of our lives shared with our family and friends.
Overwhelmingly happy, I could not help but cry at the end of the event. Who can blame me? I am a woman and an emotional one. I guess, all the brides go through similar emotional state as I was after their own wedding. :)
That was a major milestone in our lives. And young couple as we are, we both know we still have a lot of things to go through. But as is in the marriage, we vowed to stay by each other's side no matter what. I believe in him. He believes in me. And surely, we'll make it through all the good to best times and all the bumps and humps life may create along the road we're on. What can we say, we just need to be optimistic all the time. And we trust we will.
You see, our marriage had two ceremonies - civil wedding ceremony and the Islamic wedding rites. I must admit, it's hard to change something important in your life to get to forever with the one you love. It is in my case. But I've always said, it'll be worth the changing. And I won't have regrets. I won't. After all, things happen for a reason. And me deciding to change means I was bound to do that. To be with him. To fulfill our dreams of a happy future. Transition may not be as good as I would like it to be but hey, time is my friend. And I'll get by... With him by my side.
So, we've done that big step binding us to a new life together. And we still have a lot of things to do. Guess what we'll do next? :D Haha! You just guess. And we'll just do what we have in mind. Wish us luck! ;D
